Steve A. Viscarra, CPA brings more than 32 years in diverse tax, financial and business consulting experience to his role as a Certified Public Accountant. Steve is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his Bachelor of Science Accounting degree from Towson State University, Baltimore County, Maryland.
Steve is dedicated to helping clients achieve business success with practical sound tax and financial advice. He is focused on services for small to medium sized businesses, such as Home Owner Associations, Non-Profits, Government Contractors, Restoration Services and Technology Firms. Steve is committed to delivering tax and financial services that meet each client’s unique objectives through-out Maryland, District of Columbia, Delaware and Virginia.
Tax
Provide individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and homeowner associations with expertise and knowledge throughout the year by utilizing tax cost savings opportunities. Tax planning is key to successfully reducing tax liability through the implementation of tax-saving strategies that maximize the bottom line.
Accounting
Reconcile and maintain books and records on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Assist with year-end closing. Maintain client books on client software, our company software, or cloud-based software, such as Quickbooks. Function as an off-site controller.
Management
Assist with improving net profits and revenue growth. Improve positive cash flow. Assist with negotiating better loan terms and interest rates. Structure more favorable leasing terms. Assist with hiring a new chief financial officer, controller or bookkeeper.
Consulting
Perform project specific tasks, such as an external compliance review. Provide forensic account for divorce and litigation support. Support management through a company reorganization. Provide support for IRS audits, IRS notices, and mediation of IRS payment plans.

Steve lives in Deale Beach, Maryland, a pleasant drive to his office on the Bay at Breezy Point Marina in Chesapeake Beach. He and his wife Gail, together have five children and two grandchildren. On the weekends, they enjoy kayaking, crabbing, and boating on the Chesapeake. When it's not tax season, they enjoy traveling and exploring faraway places.
